We love you, Houston.

Hi, friends, We hope that you and your family are safe and dry following the devastating storm in our hometown.  From something so bad are some good things:  neighbors helping neighbors, stories of incredible compassion and strength – even the opportunity to share our emergency response skills with those in need.  A favorite student from our most recent EMT course, Ken Dies (“Captain Ken”) worked with the Coast Guard to rescue 4361 people and 11 pets in a 72-hour span; such incredible dedication and skill, and a great example of the reasons we chose our vocation – and why we continue despite the risks.  We are so proud of Captain Ken and all of the people involved in serving our city, and we will begin the process of repairing and healing along with our friends. Parachute will work within our agencies and departments to support and restore the homes, businesses and people affected by Harvey; we will continue to be the spirited, stubborn Texans that get things done.  We plan to donate time, resources and money (youcaring.com/jjwatt) to this heroic effort, and we encourage you to share whatever you can.  If nothing else, spread HOPE. We love you, Houston.

EXTRICATION DAY – BEST EMT CLASS EVER!

Parachute Consulting’s summer EMT class came to an end with an excellent Extrication Day and graduation. We are thrilled to be sending out one of the most talented group of medics we’ve trained so far! Congratulations to everyone on a job well done – go out and make a difference in the world! And, as always a huge thank you to the fire and EMS professionals at Bellaire Fire Department for sharing their knowledge and expertise with our students – we appreciate you more than you know!

Northbrook High School Seniors

We had the privilege of providing EMT training to 10 seniors at Northbrook High School this year. These talented, service-oriented seniors had ALREADY completed their firefighting certification, making them some of the most fantastic EMT students! We are thrilled to be sending them out into the world with an EMT certification!

Texas Independence Relay 2017

Another fun, safe Texas Independence Relay! The Texas Independence Relay is composed of 40 relay legs of various lengths, totaling over 200 miles. The course starts in Gonzales, TX, where the Texas Revolution began, and it finishes at the San Jacinto Monument, where Texas’ Independence was won! Our Medics did a great job keeping everyone safe!
